baltimore con this past weekend marks the last comic con that will do this year. the GameX show we were planning to attend fell through because of previous obligations so we're all done for the year! now for a well-deserved holiday sabbatical! we won't stop drawin tho! at least, that's the plan. kekeke
it's always fun times at our "home con" in baltimore. it seems to get bigger each year. saw our pals and Pat (not sure if he's got a DA page). got to chill next to and . even managed to stop in on saturday! always good to see him! then we had the pleasure of each drawing a character from the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for Scott Adsit who plays Pete in 30Rock (among other roles)!!! really cool guy! very personable, very down-to-earth. and extremely appreciative of our artwork, most of all 's. THANX TO EVERYONE THAT CAME BY THE TABLE!
i will definitely take this break from con season to really see where my art is trying to go. i'm having a tough time figuring out what i wanna do with it. i'd like to move towards a more anime look like Hyung-Tae Kim or Shunya Yamashita, but it seems like comic folks aren't really looking for that. i dunno. it's all introspective and i'd really hate to bore anyone with it. heck, it bores me in my own head.
so hopefully the next con we'll be headed to is an anime con called Katsucon at the National Harbor in Maryland. very close to home! it will be Feb. 12-14 but i will post again if that actually goes through. it will be ID's first anime con so we'll see how that fares for us. otherwise it may just be Pittsburgh again in April. but we'll see!!!
