so after a birth AND a death in the family all in the span of two weeks, things have finally chilled out. just one of those things that pop up in ur life that u didn't expect to shake things up and life as u knew it wasn't ever the same again. not that i didn't expect it because my sister that i'm living with was getting ready to have her second daughter but her husband's mom (who has become a close auntie to me at this point) was dying of breast cancer. so things were somewhat inevitable. but what was unexpected was the impact it made on my life at this point. things were bittersweet in a sense. this very generous and strong woman passes and her family that i've grown close to is grieving and then the very next day my little baby niece is born. after the whirlwind of the last 2 weeks, the dust has settled and things are back to "normal." but not quite because now my brother-in-law's dad lives with us and we have a new baby in the house. so it's just a new normal.

i'm so sorry for not having written back in a while. i'm really not snubbing anyone. i'm just taking a little time adjusting to "normal." not to mention my work at the doggy kennel is really starting to depend on me more. odd how things work out not quite the way u expected. still, life continues and i've got moves to make and artwork to draw! thanks for those that continue to stop by and see what's up with me even in my absence. and thanks to those that just found me and have faved and/or started to watch me! :hugs:

just finished working on Archie sketchcards for the March of Dimes. hopefully with their permission, i'll be able to post some that i kinda liked. lucky there's a big ARCHIE on the top of the cards because if u haven't guessed already, my renditions of the characters don't look like the comics. without the ARCHIE, it would just be some blonde chick standing next to some chick with black hair instead of Betty and Veronica. they shoulda known better than asking me to draw them. kekeke just kidding.

Heroes Con in Charlotte, NC is next week and i'll be there with the rest of the Identity crew. so i'll be writing a journal for that. but it's just turned 12:10am and the new Map Pack for Call of Duty: World at War has finally released. i've got some crazy zombies to shoot at Shi No Numa cuz they're not gonna shoot themselves. for those that know what i'm talking about, ur probably not reading this journal for many days after because ur also stuck shooting zombies AND zombie doggies. for those that don't know, it's good stuff. u should try it at least once in ur life.
